Recognize common dysrhythmias including atrial, junctional, and ventricular rhythms
Interpret 12‑lead ECGs for ischemia, infarction, and axis deviation
Apply systematic rhythm interpretation using rate, rhythm, P‑QRS‑T analysis
Correlate ECG findings with clinical symptoms for early intervention

Course Syllabus

Review of cardiac conduction pathways, SA/AV node function, and correlation with ECG waveforms.
Types of ECG machines, lead configurations, skin prep, and artifact reduction techniques.
P wave, PR interval, QRS complex, ST segment, and T wave morphology and interpretation.
Normal sinus rhythm, sinus bradycardia/tachycardia, premature atrial contractions, atrial flutter, and fibrillation.
Ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation, heart blocks, bundle branch blocks, and idioventricular rhythms.
Axis determination, chamber enlargement, ischemia/infarction localization, and case interpretation.
Integration of rhythm interpretation with clinical case scenarios, simulation practice, and competency evaluation.
Prerequisites
Current RN, RPN, RT, or Nursing Student
Basic knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy
Government-issued ID for attendance verification
